It's been too long...

 

I apologize for not updating my blog like I should be. I've been super busy because my hubby and I have been house shopping. We have lived with his dad long enough. We have just enough to make a minimum down payment on a house. We are currently under contract with a small home and hope to close at the end of July. That means we will be moving and my time will be devoted to settling down in our new house. I hope that my muse will reawaken after all of the moving chaos. I'm off to do some cleaing and weeding out things I won't ever use again.

It's been awhile...

 

For a month, I've been fighting the "walking pneumonia bug". It hasn't been fun and I'm on my second antibiotic now. I'm sorry for being away so long. I hope everyone is doing well. There have been some changes. Deviantart (where my print are made) have changed the pricing for most prints and it reset ALL of my set print prices. So, I really don't feel like going through all of them right now and changing prices, so I'm going to let them sit at default. Most prints are way cheaper and some are a little more expensive due to deviantart's changes. Also, commission rules have changed. Please read all rules if you want a commission from me. I hope everyone is having a great spring.

My Eyes were a Success!!

 

HALLELUJAH!! PRAISE THE LORD!!! I CAN SEEEEEEEE!!!! The surgery is over and it was a success!! I am pretty much at 20/20. The side effect is my sight is a little cloudy/hazy but should clear in a week or two then I should have a clear 20/20 vision. The best part is I DO NOT need my glasses. WOOT!!! Anyways, the surgery itself wasn't as bad as I thought. A weird experience it was for sure, but it only lasted 20 minutes. My eyes are a tad dry so I am on heavy amount of eye drops to keep my eyes from getting infected or dried out. Anyways, thank you everyone for your well wishes and thoughts

I'm Taking a Risk...

 

I'm gonna be doing something crazy this week. Because I cannot wear contacts for my nearsightedness any longer due to my recently developed astigmatism, I will be getting laser surgery to correct my vision this week. I can't really afford the surgery, but I really don't have a choice since glasses aren't a good option for me. They don't fit my face right and extremely annoying. I will be in debt for quite awhile. I wanted to let you all know just in case the surgery goes terribly wrong and I lose my eyesight completely. I hope that doesn't happen. I hope the surgery goes well and I walk out of the office with 20/20 vision. So, wish me luck. Also, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A New Start..

 

With a new website theme, maybe it will inspire me to draw and paint new pieces. Besides, I wanted to have a website design that was easy on the eyes. The previous one was a little "loud". Happy Valentine's Day everyone. And for those that hate it, go out and have fun anyway.

It's Cold Outside...

 

I love the cold season. A few days ago, my home was blessed with 7 inches of snow. It was a beautiful site. Snow is always a treat to see especially since it is rare I see it here. On other news, I'm still suffering from a bit of art block even though the snow was good inspiration. With it getting harder and harder for my art to get noticed, my art block worsens. It's hard to keep going when I go months without making a sale. I'm not sure if it is because of the economy or if my art is below consumer satisfaction. I wish I knew. On a lighter note, my new year's resolution for losing weight is on its way. I'm only 11 pounds off to what I want to be. I hope everyone is having a safe winter. Take care folks because winter isn't over yet :)

Happy New Year Yall!

 

Wow! The new year is almost here. I hope that 2010 will bring some new opportunities as well as better things to come. Looking back, 2009 was kind of a pessimestic year for me. A few things that made the year better were becoming a part of the Enchanted Visions Project, discovering the MMORPG Perfect World, meeting a supportive friend and artist Mike Moon, and taking a trip to see Gatlinburg, TN (a very artistic and unique town). They have their very own Celtic store!!! *drool* Anyways, I hope yall had a great Christmas and have a fantastic new year.

Holidays are FLYING

 

I can't believe that it's almost Christmas. I remember when I was little, Christmas took forever to get here. Now that I am grown, Christmas quickly speeds by. I hope everyone is enjoying this joyous holiday season. I know I have. I've been killing my diet with party mix, chocolate chip cookies, eggnog, gingerbread, nutty clusters and so much more. I'm gonna have a lot of work to do on the treadmill when this season is over.

Approaching Holiday Fun

 

Wow, it has almost been a month since I updated my blog. I've been fairly busy with getting things ready for the upcoming holidays. With turkey day and Christmas around the corner, I've been spending most of my time Christmas shopping, getting Christmas cards ready, and getting ingredients ready for cooking. I'd have to say this is the time of the year when I'm the busiest.

Changes

 

While almost having an art break down, I've decided on a couple of things. My "sale of the week" will be ending for the time being until further notice. Also, while having serious doubts about my art pieces, my art pieces will be produced at a slower pace until I can find my muse again. I hope to be back soon, but I can't make any promises. Autumn Woes

 

Hey yall! This time of year everything starts to turn pretty. However, good food comes out during this harvest season (my birthday cake, halloween candy, fair food in a couple of weeks, thanksgiving food yet to arrive, and christmas food yet to arrive). I've noticed a few pounds appear on me out of nowhere. Time for me to buckle down on exercising. I felt my muse coming back, but with the good autumn food taking a toll on my weight, more art from me is going to be slow since I will be spending A LOT more time on the treadmill. I'm aiming for at least 4 miles everyday. Wish me luck yall.

Busy Busy

 

With the fall season approaching fast, I am starting to get busy with upcoming fun. My birthday is next weekend. I know for sure I am getting old because I pulled a muscle the other day that I didn't know existed. Keep your eyes peeled for my 2010 calendar will be out soon.

I am so excited that August is almost over! Next week, the forecast shows a taste of fall weather with cooler temperatures. I can start to feel my art muse coming back to life.

Wonder why I haven't been creating a lot of new pictures? I go on a small hiatus this time of year because of the heat. I don't handle being hot well. As soon as autumn gets here, I'll be back to my normal self.

Lazy Days of Summer...

After near record breaking heat from this past Saturday, I am counting the days till Autumn. And as of today, I have officially retired my watercolors. I am going to sell the left over paints asap. I will only be doing digital works.
